La rola me viaja a mis inicios beatlemaniacos, me lleva a recordar cosas linda como mi mamá comprándome mis primeros audífinos y cantando Yellow Submarine mientras los probaba en la grabadora de aquel viaje a Veracruz. Me recuerda un viaje no ácido que experimenté hace poco y que me dio mucho para disfrutar estar trepada en el Submarino Amarillo. Esta canción me alegra mucho, me enternece. Me fascina escuchar a Ringo cantando a dos voces y divirtiéndose a cosa de esta canción de Paul... dandonos algo chido a todos nosotros. Es una canción pacheca, pero chira-lira.

Esta canción me provoca un profundo sentimiento de melancolía. Me resulta deprimente pero a la vez algo en sus notas y en la interpretación de Molko la convierte en algo muy dulce... triste, pero ricamente dulce. La voz de Molko me recorre la piel y una vibración ligera me camina por la cabeza. Así es Peeping Tom.

Dolores O'Riordan tiene el estilo típico de las cantantes irlandesas, pero su estilo está aderezado con su originalidad y su sensibilidad, así como con su fuerza. La forma que tiene de cantar canciones en las cuales ella habla de tomae decisiones con respecto a las relaciones que están mal, o que no van a ningún lado o en las que se ha perdido la confianza le salen realmente bien. Su energía transforma las canciones en verdaderas protestas y sencillas pequeñas o grandes catársis.

Definitivamente Alison Shaw no tiene el tipo de voz que disfruto particularmente, pero la música de Cranes me parece tan energética y poderosa que no me queda más remedio que apreciar las rolas de manera "independiente" a la voz, si algo de eso es posible. Debo reconocer que tampoco logro entender gran cosa de lo que la vocalista de Cranes canta, así que me he visto en la seria necesidad de buscar en Internet las letras de las canciones... algunas de ellas no las he encontrado todavía...

Este Blog lo comienzo con el ánimo de dedicar un momento de cada día a una canción... darme diez o quince minutos por cada 24 horas para escuchar, sentir detenidamente, entender lo más posible, aprehender cada canción que de manera aleatoria sea seleccionada para la ocasión. Es como el momento de relajación del día... algo parecido a unos instantes de meditación... Las canciones no tienen por qué ser profundas, las letras no tienen por qué ser impactantes ni mucho menos, se trata de conocerlas poco a poco... y utilizarlas como medio para la reflexión... si es posible... espero que el experimento funcione.
